Korina vows to become a good stepmom
MANILA – Broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez has promised to become a good stepmother to her fiancé's 15-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Sanchez, who guested on “The Buzz” Sunday along with Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, said that, like any mother, she will be there for Paolo “whenever he needs me.”
The “Rated K” host said she is proud of Paolo because he is a good and very affectionate boy.
Paolo was also in the studio when the engaged couple guested in the weekly entertainment program during its 10th anniversary celebration.
During the interview, Sanchez boasted that, aside from good looks, Paolo is very smart as she cited his good academic standing.
“Gusto ko lang malaman niya kung sino man ang mahal ni Mar ay mahal ko din. At kung anuman ang kailangan kong gawin para mapatunayan ko sa kanya ‘yon, I’m ready and willing to prove to him that whenever he needs me I’ll be there for him,” she said.
The upcoming wedding of Sanchez, 44, and 52-year-old Roxas has Paolo’s blessings.
According to the senator, Paolo was happy when he learned that he was planning to ask Sanchez’s hand in marriage.
“[Ang sabi ko], ‘alam mo Paolo gusto ko sanang sabihin sa iyo na gusto kong hingin ang kamay ni Korina sa kasal. Ano ba ang tingin mo? Okay ba sa’yo? [Ang sabi niya], ‘I’m happy for you, dad,’” Roxas said.
The legislator also disclosed that he and Sanchez are dreaming to have a child of their own immediately after the wedding.
Sanchez remains mum on the exact wedding date but she said it will take place before the end of this year.
When asked about prenuptial agreement, Sanchez said: “I think we should... I have my own investments, he has his own properties and stuff... pagkatapos ng prenup loving-loving na ulit.”
