'Tatlong Beinte-Singko' singer turns 41
MANILA - Singer Dingdong Avanzado rose to fame in the late 80s with his hit songs “Tatlong Beinte-Singko,” “Maghihintay Sa'yo,” “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal,” and “Basta't Kasama Kita.”
Avanzado, a former member of La Salle Greenhills’ Kundirana, is also a noted composer. In one of his compositions, he collaborated with former girlfriend Rachel Alejandro and together they produced the chart-topper “Paalam Na.”
The singer, who is married to Jessa Zaragoza, is celebrating his 41st birthday today, July 7. He and his family are now based in the United States.
Television host and comedian John Lapus, or “Sweet” to his friends in show business, also turned a year older today.
The University of Santo Tomas alumnus and two-time Aliw awardee is now 36 years old.
