Who were Cory's funeral honor guards?

Habang sinusubaybayan ng sambayanan kahapon ang paghahatid kay dating Pangulong Cory Aquino sa huling hantungan natuon din ang atensyon ng publiko sa apat na honor guards na inulan at inaraw, pero hindi natinag sa halos siyam na oras para sa karangalan na maihatid sa huling hantungan si dating President Cory. Kilalanin sila sa pagpa-Patrol ni Jorge Cariño. TV Patrol World, Agosto 6, 2009.

Honor Guard And the Cash Gifts
I dont' remember how much but the cash gift paid to the individual Honor Guards is in-appropriate. After all they are just doing their job. I'm sure any soldier, silor, marine and airman would have been honored to would have done the same. This diminishes the honor and prestige of their service. This gift should be dononated to a benevolent organization of the Armed Forces for all its members to benefit. The personal honors and citations bestowed to them, I feel are very appropriate. Additionally, this should be included in their official records for consideration when the time comes for their performance evaluation/promotion.

Yup. Hats off to these guards... and also to the 4 guards when tita Cory's body was transferred from la salle to manila cathedral, just in case they were not the same quartet.

Talagang honorable honor guards kayo. You really did your duties to the highest level. Sana kagaya ng PNP ma-promote din yung 3 military men, hindi nila nilagay sa kahihiyan ang institusyon na nire-represent nila. I SALUTE YOU GUYS!!!
I Salute You
As we watch the funeral of Cory on TV my son Christian Albert 13 years old, admired the four honor guards so much for their steadfast and dedication to their duties.
I salute you and the institution that you represent must be proud of you. You are worth emulating gentlemen!

Standing straight is simple but it is very difficult to sustain it for that long hours. I congratulate these four honor guards for the job well-done. The late Pres. Cory Aquino is worth for it, the nation is proud of you. Good job, guys. Keep it up!
