MANILA – For the first time, the 2009 Ms. Universe preliminary competition on Monday will be streamed online by a Philippine Web site.

It will be broadcast live in the Binibining Pilipinas Web site on Monday at 8 a.m.

The preliminary competition will be held on Atlantis Paradise Island in Bahamas where at least 80 hopefuls, including Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Pamela Bianca Manalo, compete in the swimsuit and evening gown categories.

The much-awaited main competition will be aired live on ABS-CBN on August 24 at 9:30 a.m. A primetime telecast will be broadcast the same day via Velvet (SkyCable channel 53) at 8 p.m.

The beauty pageant will be hosted by “Access Hollywood” co-anchor Billy Bush and “Celebrity Apprentice” star Claudia Jordan. The reigning Miss Universe is Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela.
