Last night, Philippine hip-hop once again took the stage. This time, in an event called "Triangulo."
The event featured today's top Filipino hip-hop artists: Loonie, Lyrically Deranged Poets and Ron Henley.
Hip-hop fans stormed at the Eastwood Central Plaza to show there support once again as they sing along to every song and scream their lungs out to their idols.
The "Home-Grown Hip-Hop" album was sold at the venue alongside Ron Henley's "Wala Pang Titulo" and the pre-selling of Abra's EP.
Ayon kay Ron Henley, "Itong event na ito ay tatlong anggulo ng buhay, tatlong entity, tatlong artists."
Beatbox Philippines' Josef Amarra, who spearheaded "Triangulo," talked to MYXph.com on what "Triangulo" was about.
"Since magkaka-pamilya kami nina Loonie, Ron Henley at ng LDP, bakit hindi kami gumawa ng event na sine-celebrate yung mga success at ipakita sa mga fans yung suporta na binigay nila."

MYXPH.com got to catch the band at the MYX studio yesterday and found it to be an opportunity to get to know them a little better for all of their Filipino fans.
For those who don't know, the band was started by Connor and was then followed by his brothers' inclusion. "The name really means to make a difference before you exit," Connor shares. He continued on saying, "we wanted to make a name that wasn't just your average band name, which is why we picked Before You Exit." 
But did you know that the band initially had the name "Soul Binder 39"? The brothers joked about how it sounded like a username and Connor says that they later on changed it to the name we know today. 
When it comes to their taste in music, the brothers told MYXPH.com that the band looks up to the Rascal Flatts, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson. 
Out of the music scene, they find themselves working on their videos if not at school. "We go to school but we don't enjoy that," they said. Looks like these band of brothers would rather spend time playing music! 
Catch them play at the Circuit Fest tomorrow along with other bands!

Right before playing the Wanderland Music Festival, Australian duo COLOUR CODING dropped by the MYX studios for an exclusive chat with VJ Chino.
They also got to warm up for the festival and play some of their songs live.

Someone else has already told the boys that their band name reminds Pinoys about the local traffic scheme. We wanted to know which day of the week is their favorite.
"It has to be Friday. You're at the end of the week. You're ready for the weekend. You know that you've got good days ahead," said Chris Holland. 
"It's time to get together with your friends and share some stories," added drummer Tim Commandeur.

The band of brothers set foot at the MYX studio today and MYXPH.com got the chance to talk to them about their stay so far.
"It's super hot!" was the first thing they said. They continued on saying that it's been amazing so far. "We've only been here for only a couple of hours. Since we got here in the morning, three in the morning," they shared. When asked about their expectations about the country they said, "we've talked to a lot of like friends that we've gone on tour with and like we always ask them like where's the craziest place that they've placed a show. They're always like the Philippines."

Just a week after it's premiere, Bamboo's new music video "Carousel" is doing good on our MYX charts.
It has steadily climbed up our  MYX Daily Top 10 countdown and occupies the #4 spot today.
The song is part of the "No Water No Moon" album's repackaged version.
During a recent press conference, Bamboo talked about the meaning behind the track.
"It's about beginnings. It's about inspiration come full circle. It's a letter to a fan. It says at certain points 'You have inspired me'," said Bamboo, who is one of the "The Voice of the Philippines" judges.
"It goes both ways. If I inspire you, you inspire me." Check out photos from the "No Water No Moon" repackaged edition here.
He also discussed how his past has helped him lyrically. 
"...not my past in music, but sort of, what made me the man I am, eh. So that was life, that's hard work, that's family, that's what brought me to this point. That's what I drew upon when I sing certain lines," added the OPM singer/songwriter.

Avril Lavigne's latest music video is a brand new entry on the MYX Daily Top 10 chart.
The prom-themed "Here's To Growing Up" debuts at #10 in our daily countdown.
The single, co-written by the Canadian singer's fiance Chad Kroeger, is part of her upcoming fifth studio album set to be released this September.
In the middle of the music video, the 28-year-old artist goes back in time somewhat in terms of look as she is seen riding a skateboard wearing a tie, a white tank top and black Chuck Taylors; just as she did in the "Complicated" video back in 2002.

MYXPH.com got the chance to speak to Barbie Almalbis at the 12 Stone Inc. Press Launch, and got to talk to her about work, and life out of the music scene. 
With the upcoming music festival, Barbie seemed more than excited to get to play for her fans along with some of her closest and longest friends in the music industry. 
"I am so blessed to be part of this management. I'm so happy that I get to work with these guys kasi they're also artists e. They really speak our language." Barbie says that fans can expect crowd favorites like "Torpe", "Just a Smile" and "Tabing Ilog." She continued on saying "siyempre sina Kitchie Nadal din, "Bulong"... tutugtugin nila lahat yun." 
"Matagal na kaming magkakasama kaya masaya!" says Barbie. She shares how she's most excited to let the fans hear the new music from 12 Stone Inc., like Absolute Play and Save Me Hollywood, which are really great new bands that are coming.
While preparing for the mall tours and the music festival, Barbie busies herself with her family. "I have two kids...I spend a lot of time with them," she says. But of course she always finds time to prioritize her passion for music, a passion that her husband firmly supports. "My husband is also an artist so we are very involved in each other's work...pare-parehong wavelength." With a parter like that, Barbie values how she gets the opportunity to improve on her craft. "We love talking about art. Our work ethic...our time...the way we manage out time...we understand each other cause we are both artists."

Noong nakaraang album launch ng Itchyworms ay nakausap namin sina Jugs, Chino, Kelvin at Jazz tungkol sa pinaka-bago nilang album.
Sa aming panayam ay nai-kwento ng banda ang ilang detalye sa kanilang album.
"It's more dark," sabi ng drummer na si Jazz. "Kasi parang mas mature na yung mga tema," he adds. 
Jugs shared that the band's humor has been dark ever since. "Yung mga songs naman namin kung ano yung nararamdaman namin at that particular time," he said.
