Who's who in the hostage crisis probe committee

MANILA, Philippines - The committee formed by President Benigno Aquino to investigate the Manila hostage crisis has five members.

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima is head of the Incident Investigation and Review Committee.

Before being named justice chief by President Aquino, de Lima had served as chairperson of the Commission on Human Rights from 2008 to 2010.

De Lima turned the commission into a high-profile watchdog, denouncing rub-outs of suspects and other violations.

Known as an election lawyer, de Lima placed eighth in the 1985 bar exam.

DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo

Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo is the vice chairman of the fact-finding committee.

A former six-term mayor of Naga, Robredo is credited for transforming the city into one of the best-managed cities in the Philippines.

Robredo has a master's degree in public administration from Harvard, and post graduate training in management at the University of the Philippines.

IBP representative: Roan Libarios

Atty. Roan Libarios is governor of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
   
He is a former congressman and former vice governor of Agusan del Norte.
   
Libarios obtained his law degree from the University of the Philippines, and became editor of the campus paper, the Philippine Collegian.

KBP President Herman Basbaño

Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas President Herman Basbaño is the media representative in the investigative panel.

Thirty-two years ago, he began work as a radio reporter for Bombo Radyo in Iloilo. Now, he is vice president for AM operations of the radio station.
   
Basbaño took up special studies in journalism in the University of Ohio.

Crime fighter: Teresita Ang-See

Teresita Ang-See represents the interest of the Chinese-Filipino community.

A staunch human rights advocate, Ang-See heads the Citizens Action Against Crime.
   
She is also the founding president of Kaisa Para sa Kaunlaran, an organization promoting the integration of ethnic Chinese into mainstream Philippine society.
