Promise 122: Expedite process of pension remittance for veterans

In his speech in commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan last April, Aquino said the country’s veterans “will be able to receive their pension in a faster and more efficient manner” through the Direct Remittance Pension Servicing System.
May 10, 2013: President Aquino signs the Total Administrative Disability (TAD) pension of World War II veterans, which will give priority in the payment of TAD pension to those at least 80 years old. Pensioners are also to get an additional P1,700 on top of veterans’ current Old Age pension of P5,000 per month.
December 2012: The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) inks partnership with Asia United Bank, Development Bank of the Philippines, Land Bank of the Philippines, Maybank Philippines, Inc., Philippine Veterans Bank, and United Coconut Planters Bank to provide more convenient and efficient service to veterans through Direct Remittance Pension Servicing System.
