MANILA, Philippines - Fans of fast fashion chain H&M will have to wait a little while longer before it finally opens in the Philippines.
"The first store in the Philippines will open during the second half of 2014," Hacan Andersson, H&M press officer, said in an email to ABS-CBNnews.com.
No other details were available.
The H&M store will be located at SM Mega Mall's new wing -- the Mega Fashion Hall. The Mega Fashion Hall, which will open on January 28, will also house international brands such as furniture chain Crate & Barrel, beauty brand Philosophy and retailer Vero Moda.
Sweden's Hennes & Mauritz AB (H&M) is setting up its operations in the Philippines, without a local partner.
Currently the world's second largest fashion retailer, H&M has over 3,000 stores in 53 countries. Aside from H&M, its other brands include COS, Cheap Monday and Weekday.
H&M is the latest fast fashion brand to enter the Philippine market. Other global retailers such as Uniqlo, Forever 21, Mango and Zara have already opened numerous stores in the country.
