Cebu Pacific served 14.4-M passengers in 2013
MANILA, Philippines – Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific said on Monday that it saw an 8.3 percent passenger traffic growth in 2013, reaching 14.4 million passengers.
The airline said it posted a 10.7 percent growth on its international routes, with 3.3 million international passengers flown, while a 7.6 percent growth was recorded in its domestic routes, with 11 million domestic passengers flown.
The airline added that on average, its flights in 2013 were about 82 percent full.
It attributed the growth to increased presence in key markets, strategic seat sales and network expansion.
“We look forward to serving even more travelers as we expand our network, and fleet. CEB remains focused on offering the lowest fares and the best travel options possible for all our passengers,” said Atty. Jorenz Tanada, Cebu Pacific vice president for Corporate Affairs.
Cebu Pacific is set to launch additional flights to Tokyo and Nagoya on March 30, 2014.
It also recently announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Tigerair Philippines.
