The Philippine economy should grow 3.7-4.4 percent in 2009, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Ralph Recto said in a presentation prepared for the country's economic managers on Wednesday.

Agriculture should grow 3-3.6 percent, industry 3.9-4.7 percent and services 3.8-4.5 percent, the presentation said.

The government had earlier forecast a GDP growth range of 3.7-4.7 percent.
