MANILA, Philippines - Officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) on Thursday both denied any possibility that a supposedly leaked document on Chief Justice Renato Corona's bank records came from them, prompting Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile to challenge them to undergo a lie-detector test.

During the hearing of the Senate banks committee, PSBank President Pascual Garcia III maintained that the signature card the prosecution panel in Corona's impeachment trial attached to a subpoena request of the Chief Justice's bank records was spurious, and therefore could not have come from them.

Garcia said they provided a copy of Corona's signature card to the BSP team that audited PSBank in 2010.

But Jerry Leal, an anti-money laundering examiner of the BSP, told the committee that he did not require or get a copy of the signature card during the audit of PSBank.

"Who will determine who's lying?" asked Sen. Panfilo Lacson.

The Senate ordered the investigation of the BSP and the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) over the leaked bank documents of Corona. The BSP had already denied leaking Corona's PSBank documents.
