EastWest opens 10 branches in Feb
MANILA, Philippines - EastWest Bank opened 10 branches, or "stores" as the Gotianun-led bank now likes to calls them, in just one day in February. This brought the bank's network to 255.
The newly-opened branches are are located in Tondo, Manila; Kalentong, Mandaluyong City; Cubao, Araneta Center in Quezon City; Alabang in Muntinlupa City; Ninoy Aquino Avenue, Parañaque City; BF Homes in Parañaque City; Bonifacio Global City in Taguig; Legaspi Village in Makati City; Tanza, Cavite, and in Asia Town IT Park in Cebu City.
In a statement, EastWest said it is now calling its branches as "stores" because they serve as "one-stop shops" for a customer's financial needs - from savings to loans to credit cards.
In 2012, EastWest increased its network to 245 from 122 as of end 2011. The bank is aiming to have 350 branches nationwide by 2014.
EastWest is a subsidiary of Filinvest Development Corporation, the publicly listed holding company of the Gotianun family.
