MANILA, Philippines – The country’s second largest telecommunications company announced on Monday new executives who will head its finance and human resource functions.

In a disclosure to the stock exchange, Globe said Albert M. de Larrazabal will be the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and head of the group’s Finance and Administration Group by April 13, 2010.

Larrazabal is taking over the post now held by Delfin Gonzales Jr. who is retiring.

The new CFO joined Globe in 2006 and headed the Treasury Division before his promotion. Globe said Larrazabal has “over two decades of extensive experience as senior executive in finance, business development, treasury operations, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, as well as investment banking and investor relations.

Meantime, Renato M. Jiao will be the new head of the Human Resources Group by June 1, 2010.

Jiao replaces Susan Grace Rivera-Manalo, who is resigning effective April 15. Rivera-Manalo, a seasoned human resource practitioner, joined Globe in March 2006.

Jiao, on the other hand, has “10 years of experience in multifunctional human resource areas,” according to Globe.

A Mechanical Engineering degree holder from the University of the Philippines, Jiao has almost 3-decade-long experience in general management, and putting together human and technological resources with systems and processes.

He has served organizations with businesses in Asia Pacific region. His latest stint was with IBM Business Services, Inc., a shared services firm where he was president for 4 years.
