Banks gear up for Holy Week
MANILA -- Banks assured customers their ATMs can handle the expected surge in the amount of withdrawals this coming Holy Week.
In an advisory, Bank of the Philippine Islands said that while branches will be closed from Maundy Thursday (March 28) until Easter Sunday (March 31), its ATMs are fully prepared to service clients.
BPI added it has ATM teams on call to respond to cash needs of customers during the holiday.
BDO Unibank Inc., meanwhile, said its branches will also be closed from March 28 to 31.
However, BDO stressed its ATMs are ready to handle the foreseen increase in withdrawal transactions during the Holy Week.
