MANILA, Philippines – When it comes to managing finances, even celebrities seek help from their colleagues who are savvier when it comes to investing.

Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez said her go-to guy when seeking financial tips is fellow Kapamilya star Luis Manzano.

“Kausap ko si Luis Manzano kasi sobrang galing niya sa money niya. Maaga siyang natutong mag-business, maaga siyang nag-invest. And I ask tips from him. Hindi kasi ako business-minded so ‘yun ‘yung frustration ko,” Gonzalez said on ANC’s “On The Money.”

Manzano, a graduate of hotel and restaurant management, owns a taxi franchise and a garments manufacturing company.

Manzano has more than 100 taxi units, and is looking to increase the fleet after tapping actress-host Kris Aquino as one of his partners.

Gonzalez said aside from Manzano, she also consults ABS-CBN journalist and “My Puhunan” host Karen Davila.

“I’m surrounded naman by a lot of people who know a lot, so I’ve been talking to Karen Davila, to Luis, and a few titas. So hopefully, I figure it out,” said the 31-year-old host.

She was recently engaged to professional basketball player JC Intal, who she said has also been giving her advice on how to invest in real estate.

“Sobra kong kuripot so I’m a big saver. Mahilig akong mag-ipon lang ng pera. Si JC actually was the one who taught me to invest in real estate. Sobrang hindi ako ma-stocks, so ‘yun lang, parang I bought property lang at bangko. I still need to learn,” said Gonzalez.

Geoff Eigenmann, on the other hand, relies on a personal accountant to manage his money.

“It’s hard to manage especially I started [working] at a young age, receiving paychecks here and there so mahirap pero better to let someone ease you into it and learn. I have an accountant who handles it for me,” he said.

Eigenmann, the son of actors Michael de Mesa and Gina Alajar, started his career in the showbiz industry at the age of 7.

Now 29, Eigenmann said he has learned how to wisely spend money he earned from being an actor.

“Just don’t spend on things you don’t really need. May mga necessities na kailangan naman talaga and things you can live without,” he said.
