Oil firms cut fuel prices anew

MANILA, Philippines (3rd UPDATE) -- For the fifth time since April, oil firms will roll back fuel prices.

In separate advisories, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Petron Corp., Eastern Petroleum and Seaoil Philippines Inc. announced that they will decrease fuel prices effective 12:01 a.m. Monday, May 14.

Shell said it will decrease the prices of its FuelSave Unleaded, Super Premium and VPower Gasoline by P1.70 per liter.

It will also slash the prices of Diesolene and VPower Diesel by P1.60 per liter, and kerosene and regular gasoline by P1.50 per liter.

Meanwhile, Petron will slash the prices of its Blaze 100, XCS, and Xtra by P1.70 per liter, and its Pinoy gasoline, regular gas, Turbo Diesel and DieselMax by P1.60 per liter.

Petron will also cut its kerosene prices by P1.50 per liter.

Eastern Petroleum will slash the prcies for its unleaded and Intensity Premium by P1.60 per liter, while the price of Euro IV Diesel will be slashed P1.70 per liter.

Meanwhile, Eastern Petroleum will cut its kerosene and regular gasoline’s prices by P1.50 per liter.

Seaoil will reduce the prices of its premium and unleaded gasoline by P1.70 per liter, its regular gasoline and diesel by P1.60 per liter and its kerosene by P1.50 per liter.

The reduction in fuel prices was done to reflect the decrease in international fuel prices.
