PAL starts 'all-in, low fare' promo

MANILA, Philippine - Philippine Airlines is offering an all-in, low fare promo for all of its domestic flights and selected international flights.

With the promo, PAL said there will be no hidden charges since the promo fares would include government taxes, fees and surcharges, except for ticketing service and terminal fees.

A one-way ticket from Manila to any PAL destination in Luzon will cost P1,376; to Visayas at P1,443; and to Mindanao at only P2,003.

One-way fares from any point in Luzon to Manila will cost only only P1,393; from Visayas to Manila at P1,460 and from Mindanao to Manila at P2,020.

For selected international destinations, PAL is reducing the price of round-trip tickets: Manila to Bali – $376; Bangkok – $319; Beijing – $380; New Delhi – $718; Fukuoka – $546; Guam – $396; Ho Chi Minh – $300; Hong Kong, Macau & Taipei – $240; Jakarta – $342; Melbourne – $837; Nagoya – $565; Osaka – $525; Shanghai – $370; Singapore $305; Sydney – $856; Tokyo – $566; Xiamen – $270; and Cebu-Tokyo $670.

There are also discounted fares for its flights for US and Canada.

PAL is offering these promo fares for economy class until May 22. Tickets must be used between June 13 and September 30, except for Guam which is valid between August 16 and December 15.

San Miguel Corp. invested $750 million in PAL and affiliate Air Philippines Corp. to help finance a $1-billion refleeting plan for the flag carrier. PAL president Ramon Ang vowed to return the airline to profitability in a year.
