SEAIR launches largest expansion; offers seat sale
MANILA, Philippines - South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) is offering a seat sale at special rates starting from P595 as it launched its expansion of domestic operations to 7 cities.
In a statement, SEAIR said it is offering 28,000 seats at the following one-way special rates:
- Manila to Cebu P655
- Manila to Tacloban P645
- Manila to Puerto Princesa P645
- Manila to Iloilo P699
- Manila to Davao P949
- Manila to Kalibo P595
- Manila to Bacolod P699
The fares are available until June 13, 2012 "for travel until October 31, 2012."
The seat sale is in celebration of the following new routes:
- three daily flights to Cebu starting July 31, 2012;
- two daily flights to Davao starting August 18;
- daily flights to Tacloban starting August 1;
- daily flights to Iloilo starting August 2;
- daily flights to Puerto Princesa starting August 3;
- daily flights to Boracay via Kalibo starting August 4;
- daily flights to Bacolod starting August 20.
“This is SEAIR’s largest network expansion ever. The seven routes showcase the different paradise destinations in our country, and we are proud that SEAIR can help promote the ‘More Fun in the Philippines’ campaign,” said SEAIR Chief Operating Officer Patrick Tan.
SEAIR said the flights will operate from the Manila Domestic Airport (Ninoy Aquino International Airport or NAIA Terminal 4) using five newly-acquired Airbus aircraft.
“We have upgraded our fleet with new Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, which can accommodate 144 and 180 passengers respectively, to support the increasing demand of domestic travellers and the growing needs of NAIA,” said SEAIR president Avelino Zapanta.
“Together with our current domestic and regional flights, we expect these new routes to contribute one million passengers annually to local and regional tourism, create employment and boost commerce and industry in the seven domestic destinations,” he added.
SEAIR said it has also expanded its reach regionally with its services from Clark to Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kota Kinabalu and Boracay (via Kalibo, Aklan).
"The SEAIR -Tiger Airways Partner Airline Programme allows SEAIR to distribute its seats through Tiger Airways' established internet booking system, www.tigerairways.com. Tiger Airways also recently announced the finalization of the sales and purchase agreement to purchase a 40% stake in SEAIR," the airline company said.
