eTelecare to open new facility in Texas next month

Call center operator eTelecare Global Solutions Inc. said Tuesday it is scheduled to open a new facility in Jacksonville, Texas on July 1.
"eTelecare continues to experience strong demand for our services," company president and chief executive officer John Harris told the stock exchange. "...Jacksonville, Texas offers eTelecare an expansive, well-trained workforce and a first-rate contact center facility."
The new service center would employ over 400 people, bringing the total number of eTelecare's agents to more than 3,000 in the United States and over 13,000 worldwide.
For the first quarter, eTelecare posted a net income of $1.9 million, lower compared to $5.2 million in the same quarter last year because of higher expenses.
But its Philippine operations continued to enjoy strong revenues of $47.4 million, up 40 percent year-on-year.
eTelecare expects to book a profit of between $1.5 million and $2.1 million in the second quarter.
The company operates 13 facilities in the Philippines and United States. Its seven call centers here are located in Mandaluyong, Makati, Muntinlupa, Quezon City and Cebu.
