MANILA, Philippines – State-run Land Bank of the Philippines has launched "express access machines" in selected branches nationwide to boost government's efforts in improving tax collection.

The LandBank Express Access Machine (LEAM) is designed as an alternative payment channel for taxpayers and to help manage customer traffic in the bank’s branches nationwide.

A total of 50 LEAMs will be deployed this month nationwide—18 units in National Capital Region, 8 in Northern Luzon, 2 in Central Luzon, 8 in Southern Luzon, 4 in the Visayas, and 10 in Mindanao.

Twenty more units are expected to be deployed within the year.

The LEAM also has future capability to accept PhilHealth contributions and other bill payments.

“This project is in support of the government’s continuing goal to improve revenue collection and service delivery to the general public,” said LandBank president and chief executive Gilda Pico.
