MANILA - Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will launch flights between Manila and Guangzhou, China starting July 16.
PAL President Ramon S. Ang said the flight, which involves the carrier's sixth destination in China, will be utilized four times a week.
"The launching of the Manila – Guangzhou – Manila route aims to further strengthen the strong ties between both cities. More importantly, this will allow business travelers and tourists the chance to spend time in the Philippines, and hop to any of our domestic or international destinations," Ang said.
PAL's other destinations in China are Beijing, Xiamen, Shanghai, Macau, and Hong Kong.
PAL launched flights to three destinations in Australia--Darwin, Brisbane and Perth--in June and to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Basco in Batanes in May. The carrier will be flying to locations in Middle East--Abu Dhabi (UAE), Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), and Dammam (Saudi Arabia)--before the end of the year.
