MANILA, Philippines - World Bank Group president Jim Yong Kim is visiting the Philippines next week.

Kim, who will arrive on July 14, is expected to meet with officials from the Philippine government, civil society organizations, private sector and youth organizations.

He is also scheduled to visit areas affected by super typhoon "Yolanda" in the Visayas.

"The visit aims to strengthen support for the country’s reforms to address poverty and improve resilience to disasters and the impact of climate change," the World Bank said.
