Bangko Sentral says 5% RP growth in 2008 robust enough

The Philippine central bank's deputy governor said on Thursday that five percent GDP growth in 2008 would be "robust enough".
Diwa Guinigundo was speaking to reporters after the bank hiked interest rates by 50 basis points, tightening policy for the second month in a row.
The government has forecast GDP growth this year at 5.7-6.6 percent.
