MANILA - Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Amando Tetangco said on Wednesday he did not see any reason to adjust reserve requirements of commercial banks.
The regular reserve requirements are currently at 8% of deposits. The BSP adjusts these requirements to mop up or increase liquidity in the system.
"With the current liquidity situation, I do not see any reason to adjust the reserve requirements at this time," Tetangco told reporters.
