MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines’ electronics exports are expected to slow down as computer sales fall in Asia and the United States.

According to the United States commerce department, consumer spending unexpectedly remained stagnant in June as employment remains low.

Taiwanese firm Acer, the world’s second largest computer manufacturer, reported a decline of 38% in July sales compared to the same month in 2009.

Likewise, another Asian computer parts maker reported around 15% drop in sales.
