List of open, closed banks (August 20)
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - Are you wondering if your bank is open today? Here's the status of operations of some banks today (August 20).
BDO Unibank said it is unable to open branches in NCR and affected areas in Luzon. Normal operations continue in unaffected areas of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
"Our ATMs are operational, except for those affected by floods and line problems. We will do our best to replenish cash as required," BDO said.
Metrobank said bank operations in Metro Manila branches and affected areas in Cavite and Laguna are suspended as of 11 a.m. Branches in Visayas and Mindanao remain open today.
Citi Philippines said the Metro Manila branches of Citibank, N.A. and Citibank Savings will be closed for business today (August 20). Clients are encouraged to log on to their accounts on www.citibank.com.ph. Citi ATMs are also operational.
BPI said it is open for business today August 20. "We will endeavor to open as many branches in the Luzon area as possible except for those severely affected by the current weather disturbance," it said in an advisory.
"The safety of our employees and clients is our primary concern. While we exert all efforts to keep our branches open to service the banking requirements of our clients, we have advised our employees to make an assessment of their personal safety before going to the office," BPI added.
BPI said all Express Teller machines are available to service withdrawals while Express Deposit machines are accepting cash deposits. Expressonline and Express Mobile are likewise available.
LandBank said select branches in NCR are open until 12 noon today.
These are: Makati Cityhall, Marcos Highway, Greenhills, Las Pinas, Malacanan, BOC-MICP, Muntinlupa, PCSO EO, Batasan, Aguinaldo, COA, Commonwealth, East Avenue, LTO EO, EDSA Congressional, Elliptical Road, Katipunan, UP Diliman EO, North Avenue, West Avenue, Quezon City Circle, Napocor EO, Caloocan branch, Caloocan EO, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon Avenue, Espana, Novaliches, Almanza, Marikina.
RCBC said it is also opening some branches up to 12 noon today. These branches are: the head office, Navotas, Valenzuela, Novaliches , Commonwealth, Cubao, Linden , Boni , Tektite, Connecticut , Southmall, Marikina and Sta. Lucia.
The additional RCBC branches open are: RCBC- Binondo and New Manila; San Fernando; Robinson-San Fernando; Sindalan-San Fernando; Angeles; Sto Cristo; Balibago; Clark 1 & 2; Diosdado Macapagal International Airport extension office.
China Bank said it will only open branches that "can physically be open and where our people can go to work safely." However, it did not identify the open branches.
China Bank said the head office will have skeletal staff to support operations of branches in Visayas and Mindanao.
UCPB said the main branch is open until 12 noon. Work has been suspended in other branches in Metro Manila and other areas.
Philippine National Bank
PNB said its branches in Metro Manila are closed this morning. It added that some branches in South Luzon are also closed.
Philippine Bank of Communications
PBCOM said all of its branches in Metro Manila and affected areas of Luzon are closed today. Its ATM network remains available.
The following branches are open to serve clients: Batangas City, Dagupan, La Union, Lipa, Lucena, San Pablo, as well as all Visayas and Mindanao branches.
Philippine Veterans Bank
PVB declared a work suspension at its head office today, as well as affected branches in Metro Manila and Luzon.
PVB said affected branches that are accessible by its staff will open with a skeletal force. Branches not affected by rains and floods will continue to service clients today. Open branches are in Camp Aguinaldo, Camp Crame, Timog, Marikina, Alta Vista, Taguig and UP Diliman.
