Pru Life UK expands Cha-ching in southern Luzon
MANILA, Philippines - Pru Life UK, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) expanded its Cha-Ching Financial Literacy for the Youth Program to southern Luzon in an effort to teach more Filipino children the value of money.
Cavite's Far Eastern Univeristy (FEU) Silang became the 10th private school partner to integrate the Cha-Ching Money-Smart Kids program, which includes key money management concepts --earn, save, spend and donate, in their grade 2 curriculum.
The Philippines is the first country to integrate Cha-Ching in the grade school curriculum following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Education (DepEd) in April 2012.
Cha-Ching is the flagship corporate social responsibility initiative of British insurer Pru Life UK. It was launched in Asia back in 2011 by Pru Life UK's regional headquarters Prudential Corporation Asia.
Cha-Ching, the first multi-country, multi-platform financial literacy campaign, was developed in partnership with leading broadcast channel for children, Cartoon Network.
