Palace: Customs reforms 'forthcoming'
MANILA, Philippines - Malacanang could only say that the promised reforms in the Bureau of Customs are "forthcoming."
President Aquino earlier promised that reforms to address corruption in the Bureau would be announced by the end of August.
"It's forthcoming. The only thing I can is that it's forthcoming," presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said. "Preparations have gone a lot more than what we've said a month ago."
Earlier, the Palace vowed there will be no "sacred cows" in the "wide-ranging" reforms the President will be implementing to put a stop to the corruption at the BOC.
