Gov't likely spent less in August vs July

MANILA, Philippines - The government may have spent less in August compared with the previous month, Budget Secretary Florencio Abad said on Friday.
Manila, on course to hit a record budget deficit of P325 billion this year, spent P135.6 billion in July.
In August last year, it spent P117 billion.
