Total, Petron hike LPG prices
MANILA - Two more oil companies raised prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products on Tuesday, following Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp.'s earlier price adjustment.
In separate advisories, Petron Corp. and Total said they have increased LPG prices by P1.45 per kilogram effective 6 a.m. On Monday, Shell implemented a P1.62 per kilogram price increase in its LPG products.
According to Petron Public Affairs Manager Virginia Ruivivar, the price increase was made to "fully reflect the increase in contract prices for the month."
A radio dzMM report, meanwhile, said independent player Seaoil will slash prices of diesel and gasoline products by P1 at 10 p.m. Tuesday. Shell and Petron, on the other hand, will reportedly cut gasoline and diesel prices by 50 centavos at midnight.
