BDO, PSBank temporarily close Zambo branches
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - BDO and PSBank on Tuesday said it decided to temporarily close some of its branches in Zamboanga City as violence continued between government troops and Moro National Liberation Front rebels in the city.
In a statement, BDO said three branches in Zamboanga City were closed today - Zamboanga; Zamboanga-Mayor Jaldon and Zamboanga-Rizal St.
However, BDO Zamboanga-Ipil was open to serve clients. BDO said all ATMs in the area are operational.
PSBank earlier announced three of its branches in Zamboanga were closed on Tuesday.
PSBank said it will waive all interbank charges for any Zamboanga-based client who withdraws at any ATM, regardless of network or bank. All of its Zamboanga branch clients can also withdraw or deposit at any of our 219 branches nationwide free of inter-branch fees.
The bank will also not charge late penalties for Zamboanga clients whose loan payments fall due on days while its branches are closed. Those who wish to pay have the option to call the bank's 24/7 hotline at (02) 845-8888 or email [email protected].
PSBank said all over-the-counter transactions will resume at its Zamboanga branches "as soon as the situation has been declared safe" by authorities.
