Which pizza chain is Pasig's top restaurant taxpayer?
MANILA, Philippines - A popular pizza chain is Pasig City's top restaurant taxpayer for 2011.
For its latest Tax Watch ad, the Department of Finance and Bureau of Internal Revenue released the list of 2011 restaurant taxpayers for East Pasig and West Pasig.
California Pizza Kitchen topped the list of 2011 restaurant taxpayers in East Pasig with P3.63 million.
A KFC franchisee Wholesome Foods ranked second with P1.46 million, followed by World Spices International Cuisine Inc (P799,700); Yumpanada, Bibingka and Halo-Halo island etc. (P778,337) and another KFC franchisee Joyfoods Corp. (P584,054).
For West Pasig, it was Razon's of Gua-gua, famous for its halo-halo and pancit, that topped the list with P1.41 million.
Global Bistros Inc. was a close second with P1.4 million in taxes, followed by EL "G" Foods Corp. (P866,872), SGS House of Minis (P713,390) and Hans Gourmet Services Inc. (P656,584).
The BIR noted that only a handful of the highest-rated restaurants in Pasig City were top taxpayers. These were Razon's, Charlie's Grind and Grill, House of Mini's and Buffalo's Wings N' Things.
