Max's is top restaurant taxpayer in Paranaque
MANILA, Philippines -- Fried chicken restaurant Max's Restaurant spread its wings at the top of the list of restaurant taxpayers in Parañaque.
In its latest Tax Watch ad, the Department of Finance (DOF) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) revealed that Max's Restaurant paid P6.6 million in income taxes in 2011.
Cantonese Restaurant Luk Foo (P808,449) came in second place, while Airforce One KTV and Music Lounge (P709,844) came in third.
Fourth was Concorde Café (P645,850) and Food2outsource, Inc. capped off the top five taxpayers in Parañaque with P306,079 in taxes.
Meanwhile, the list of top restaurant taxpayers in Las Piñas was topped by the owner of Chin's Empress, Handaan sa Lucban, Handaan Grande, Handaan Express, Inihaw Express and Ihaw Juan, having paid P538,659 in income taxes in 2011.
Second on the list was Orange Bean Kitchen (P367,097), followed by Tournesol Food Service Corp. (P320,010).
Local pizza chain, Lot's A Pizza came in fourth with P278,540 in taxes and S-A Southern Ventures, Inc. was in fifth with P212,744.
