Pier One, Chic-Boy top resto taxpayers list in Cainta, Taytay
MANILA, Philippines – Pier One Bar and Grill and Chic-Boy topped the 2011 list of restaurant taxpayers in Cainta and Taytay, the Department of Finance (DOF) and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said in its latest Tax Watch ad.
Pier One Bar and Grill and Chic-Boy, both owned by entrepreneur Francis Juan, paid P2.15 million in income taxes in 2011.
EDCT Food Services, a canteen concessionaire at San Beda College, came in second with P937,968 in taxes.
A Jollibee franchisee, Uptown Connection Food Exchange, placed third with P674,375.
Rounding out the top five taxpayers in Cainta and Taytay are Cainta Connection Food Exchange (P591,181) and MFYF Restaurant (P443,528).
The BIR said only 3 out of 10 popular restaurants in Cainta and Taytay, based on reviews at clickthecity.com, are top taxpayers. These are Cabalen, Jollibee and Red Ribbon.
In Marikina, meanwhile, Josiah’s Catering, Amandes Café and Patisserie, and Tanglad Bistro topped the taxpayers list with P1.85 million paid in income taxes.
Pastry and bakery shop the French Baker came in second with P1,472,362 in taxes.
Only Café Lidia and Tapsi ni Vivian, two of the highest rated restaurants in Marikina, are top taxpayers.
