KidZania one of best franchises for travelers
MANILA, Philippines - KidZania, an "edutainment" (education entertainment) theme park which will soon open in Manila, has been named one of CNN Travel's Top 10 Best Franchises for Travelers.
CNN Travel described Kidzania as a "first-of-its-kind indoor play city and edutainment center that allows children aged 3 to 14 to play and learn about different careers, the inner-workings of a city, and the concept of managing money through KidZos, a currency they can use to purchase goods and services."
KidZania will soon operate in the Philippines. Play Innovations recently announced plans to build a P1 billion, half-hectare facility at the Bonifacio Global City, which is expected to be completed in November 2014.
"We are very proud and honored that CNN has named KidZania as one of the brands most recognized and trusted by travelers from all around the world,” said Maricel Pangilinan-Arenas, President and CEO of Play Innovations. "We’re very excited for our kababayans to experience this globally known brand when we launch next year."
Kidzania Manila is expected to attract some 600,000 foreign and local visitors annually.
At KidZania, children can freely explore a world their size and choose from over 100 role-playing activities in different establishments through hyper-real role-play.
KidZania incorporates real-world brands and partners with businesses to bring to life a hyper-real metropolis. Paying incredible attention to detail–from paved roads, storefronts, kid-sized buses and cars, the edutainment center provides children with an authentic experience that is interactive, immersive, and memorable.
