MANILA - Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER aircraft last night.

The extended range jet is one of the two leased Boeing 777-300ERs that PAL will use for major international routes like Hong Kong (starting November 24), Tokyo (February 2010), and Sydney and Melbourne (March 2010), PAL said.

To celebrate the arrival of its newest and most technologically-advanced aircraft, the airline is offering a new low-fare promo on selected domestic destinations. PAL is using its current fleet of Boeing 747s, Airbus A340s, A330s, A320s and A319s to serve these domestic routes.

Fares as low as P777 are available for flights between Manila and 11 domestic destinations: Laoag, Legazpi, Puerto Princesa, Cebu, Bacolod, Iloilo, Kalibo, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Dumaguete and Roxas.

For flights to Mindanao destinations such as Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Dipolog, General Santos, Zamboanga, Ozamiz and Butuan, fares will go as low as P1,777.

The all-in (inclusive of VAT), one-way fares are on sale from November 19 to 25, PAL said. Travel period is between December 1 to 25, 2009 and February 1 to March 25, 2010.
