MANILA - Liquefied petroleum gas prices will increase by at least P38 per cylinder this December, the LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA) said Wednesday.

LPGMA President Arnel Ty told ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda the LPG’s contract price is expected to increase to at least $70 next month, based on the world market trend.

Ty said the projected price is equivalent to at least P3.50 per kilogram in the local market.

He said the 11-kilogram LPG cylinder price of P568 to P637 may increase by P38.50 to P40 next month because of the projected world market price.

Ty said LPG prices usually increase during December. He said the prices are expected to stabilize from January to March next year.
