MANILA, Philippines - The government has just completed the construction of 3 new tramlines in Mindanao to help transport crops from isolated farms to roads.
The Philippine Center for Post-harvest Development and Mechanization or PhilMech took the lead in the project, which cost about P3 million to finish.
PhilMech said each tramline is about a kilometer long.
The tramlines are located in Marugusan and New Bataan in Compostela Valley, and Digos in Davao del Sur.
The tramways will reduce farmer's handling losses, PhilMech noted. - ANC
