Panasonic to launch 20-inch tablet with 4K resolution
BERLIN - Panasonic Corp. said Wednesday it will launch a 20-inch screen tablet computer with enhanced image quality designed for photographers, and marketing and sales professionals within this year.
The Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 tablet employing "4K" technology, which displays images at four times the resolution of high definition, is capable of displaying large images and drawings clearly.
Running on Microsoft's Windows 8.1 operating system, the tablet will come with an electronic touch pen that provides a paper-like feel for detailed freehand sketching. The tablets are 12.5 millimeters thick and weigh 2.35 kilograms.
Details such as pricing and launch dates will be announced on Thursday ahead of the six-day IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin from Friday.
