TOKYO - Sony Corp. said Thursday the president of its online service subsidiary, Sony Network Entertainment International LLC, will retire on Dec. 31.
Tim Schaaff, who joined Sony Corp. of America in 2005 after working for Apple Inc., testified before the U.S. Congress in June 2011 following last year's massive leakage of customers' information.
The Japanese electronics giant said it will allow Schaaff, 52, to leave the post at his request and the position of president at the subsidiary will remain vacant for a while.
