Salamat Dok: Vegetable and chicken kebab

Take a rest from too many fatty and oily foods! Here’s one tasty, healthy and easy-to-do recipe which was taught to us by Chef Kooch Laksamana of Wicked Kitchen. It is a light dish that is not too rich taste that is not cloying to the palate. The colors of this recipe will surely stun your dining guests in whatever occasion. This is a very flexible recipe. You can play around whatever vegetables are available in your kitchen or are in season.


  1. Chicken breast
  2. Potato
  3. Carrots
  4. Bell pepper
  5. White onions
  6. Zucchini (optional)
  7. Salt
  8. Pepper
  9. Barbeque stick / Skewer
  10. Seasoning (optional)


  • Cut the chicken breast and vegetable into small bite sizes
  • Combine in 1 container
  • Pepper and salt to taste
  • Put some seasoning
  • Alternately pierce vegetable and chicken on the barbecue stick or skewer. Each stick may contain 2 to 3 pieces of meat.
  • Grill in glowing hot coals for 2 minutes on each side

    (Optional step)
  • You may also blanch the meat and vegetables in boiling water with a little salt and bit of seasoning before skewering
