This map is the product of the collaboration between the abs-cbnNEWS.com/ Newsbreak Research Team and Mapcentral (Cybersoft). It attempts to put together publicly available geophysical and socio-historical data on factors that contributed to previous disasters or may contribute to the vulnerability of certain communities to disasters. It is offered as a tool that communities may use to plan on how to protect themselves from future disasters brought on by natural or man made hazards.
