Actor-comedian Jayson Gainza admitted that he got intimidated the first time he worked with actress Angelu de Leon on “Parekoy,” ABS-CBN’s upcoming television series.

“Noong una kasi parang na-intimidate ako siyempre Angelu de Leon ‘yon, hindi ba?” the actor said.

Gainza, however, said, after their first meeting, it was de Leon who approached him and told him to relax.

He also shared that, aside from helping him in his role, de Leon made the work easier and fun by always cracking jokes in the set.

Asked to describe de Leon as an actress, Gainza replied: “Magaling siya. Kapag trabaho, trabaho. ‘Yong kapag sinabi na, ‘Action,’ kita mo agad ‘yong character niya kaya ikaw madadala din.”

Gainza, one of the former housemates of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), said that he never thought that he would stay longer in show business.  He said initially he planned to leave the country after PBB but changed his mind after he got numerous offers.

"Kapag gusto mo ‘yong trabahong ginagawa mo, nag-e-enjoy ka, ‘yon na lang ang ginawa ko. Nag-focus na lang ako dito,” he said.

“Parekoy” will start airing on Monday on ABS-CBN.
