MANILA, Philippines -- Comedian Vice Ganda now holds the distinction of starring in three of the five highest grossing Filipino films of all time.

The comedy film "Sisterakas" has earned over P283 million after only 10 days in cinemas nationwide, according to one of its lead stars, Kris Aquino.

In a post on the microblogging site Twitter, Aquino said, "As of Jan 3, 2013 Sisterakas P283,467,640.89. Thank You!"

An entry to the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival, the Wenn V. Deramas-directed movie sees the team-up of three "box-office royalties" -- Aquino, Vice Ganda and Ai Ai delas Alas.

Along with seven other entries to annual film fest, "Sisterakas" opened in theaters nationwide on Christmas Day.

The 10-day box-office take of the Star Cinema and Viva Films co-production surpasses the total earnings of the romance-drama film "No Other Woman," which was previously the second all-time highest grossing local film.

Also released under ABS-CBN's and Viva Entertainment's film production outfits, "No Other Woman" (2011) had a total box-office take of P278.39 million, according to data from box office tracking service Box Office Mojo.

"Sisterakas," which runs in cinemas nationwide until January 8, currently places second to another comedy film "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin" in the list of the Philippines' all-time top-grossers.

Also directed by Deramas and featuring Vice Ganda, "Praybeyt Benjamin" (2011), according to Box Office Mojo, earned P331.61 million after is local theatrical run.

The 2012 romance-drama film "The Mistress" (previously third) had a total box-office take of P262.82 million. Another Vice Ganda-starrer released earlier last year, "This Guy's In Love with U Mare!" (previously fourth) had a total gross of P249.09 million.
