MANILA, Philippines – After turning emotional last week when she talked about her failed romance with actor Gerald Anderson, singer Sarah Geronimo is now all smiles as she shared what keeps her hands full as she starts 2013.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Geronimo said she is currently busy preparing for her upcoming Philippine concert tour.
“Magki-kick off na po ang Philippine concert tour namin. First leg will be at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu on January 11 at sa January 13 po sa Ilagan, Isabela naman po,” she said.
For the tour, which is a continuation of her successful "24/SG" birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum last year, Geronimo will be joined in by singers Christian Bautista and Bamboo, as well as comedian Jon Santos.
Geronimo said one of her New Year’s resolutions is to further improve her singing.
“Marami [akong New Year’s resolution]. Pero gusto ko mas magsikap pa para mag-improve bilang singer at concert performer at as a person. Sana mas mag-mature pa,” she said.
But aside from honing her performing skills, Geronimo is also busy shooting her next movie with actor John Lloyd Cruz, “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” which is slated to come out this year.
“Iniimbitahan ko po ang lahat na abangan po at suportahan ang muli po naming pagtatambal ni Mr. John Lloyd Cruz. Malapit na po iyan, ‘It Takes a Man and a Woman’ this year. Directed by Ms. Cathy Garcia Molina,” she said.
Geronimo also does her own variety show “Sarah G Live” every Sunday.
“Lagi naman po regular ang mga nangyayaring meeting at brainstorming kung paano mapapaganda ang show. Patuloy po iyon. Sana po itong mga next episodes namin, mas abangan pa ng mga tao,” she said.
