MANILA, Philippines- ABS-CBN's Drama Princess Judy Ann Santos says her long running soap opera "Mara Clara" is one of the definitive turning points of her career as an ABS-CBN talent.

In an SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon interview, Juday said the soap opera remains one of the high points in her acting career. "Mara Clara", which ran from 1992 to 1997, is considered one of the longest primetime teleseryes in Philippine television and made Santos and her co-star, Gladys Reyes, household names.

ABS-CBN recently dubbed Santos the Queen of Teleseryes and chose the actress to represent 60 years of soap operas in the Kapamilya Network.

"Of course flattering lahat ito. Lahat ng pinagdaanan ko, lahat ng sinasabi ng tao sa akin I still owe it to Gladys, to the makers of Mara Clara. Sa kanila nanggagaling at sa kanila ko inihahandog itong title na binigay nila sa akin," she said.

Santos said she is now excited about the launch of her upcoming television series "Habang May Buhay" as well as various projects she is working on this year.

"So far I'm very busy, I'm very thankful kasi sunod-sunod nga ang mga blessing, movie projects, endorsements at teleserye. Very thankful ako kasi ang dami pa ding taong nagtitiwala sa akin," she said.

In the new soap opera, Santos plays the role of Jane Alcantara, a nurse. Opposite her is hunk actor Derek Ramsay, who was also her leading man in "Ysabella."

The new soap opera will air in February.

"Sana magustuhan ng mga tao kasi talagang pinagtrabahuan ng husto. Lahat ng dapat alamin ay inalam namin, (malaki) ang effort namin para mapaganda ang show na ito," Santos said.

Aside from "Habang May Buhay," Santos is also taping for her weekly show "George & Cecil" opposite her husband, Ryan Agoncillo.
