Marriage made Matt Evans a better man
MANILA – Actor Matt Evans considers settling down as a life-changing event that made him a better man.
Speaking with Boy Abunda on “Bandila” on Wednesday, Evans said his life took a 180-degree turn when he decided to tie the knot with his then-girlfriend, who is now the mother of his child.
The former “Pinoy Big Brother” teen housemate said getting married gave his life a purpose such that his main priority is now his family.
“Marami pong [nabago] dahil sa family ko. Less barkada na. 'Yung barkada, usually text na lang. Pero hindi pa rin maiiwasan 'yung magkita pero 'yung mga priority ko, pamilya ko na,” he said.
But does he get bothered that his appeal as an actor might have diminished now that he is no longer a bachelor?
With his wife and child by his side, Evans said he is ready to face anything with his head up high.
“I think maybe mas masalimuot ang 2013 kasi I lost my grandparents. Medyo struggling din kasi sa 2012, medyo mabigat. Ngayong 2014, sana maganda na. Sabi ko nga sobrang blessed pa rin kasi hindi ako nawawalan ng project,” said Evans, who is part of the upcoming movie "Bride for Rent," with fellow "PBB" teen housemate Kim Chiu.
