MANILA -- Master impersonator Willie Nepomuceno no longer feels safe after his grandson Sean was shot by still-unidentified people in Marikina early Thursday morning.

In an interview on "Iba-Balita," Nepomuceno said while he is thankful that the authorities are closely monitoring the case, he cannot help but doubt the kind of security implemented by the government.

"Hindi na sa akin eh. Pakiramdam ko para sa lahat ng mamayan. I cannot feel safe. Wala kang maramdamang scecurity. Laging takot," he said.

The comedian said that while he is lucky to have friends in media to raise the issue about the shooting of his grandson, ordinary citizens do not have the same luxury.

"Noong inambush si Vice-President Emmanuel Pelaez, natatandaan mo sinabi niya, 'what's happening to our country?' 'Yun ang pumasok sa isip ko," he added. "Maswerte ako kasi, uy, sikat pa pala ako. Eh paano 'yung 'di sikat, paano yung di kilala?"

Nepomuceno said that after his grandson was shot, not an official from the barangay was around to respond.

He said only a tricycle driver, who was just passing by the crime scene, brought Sean to a nearby private hospital.

But instead of entertaining Nepomuceno's granson the hospital just sent the bleeding patient to the Amang Rodriguez Hospital.

"Walang nag-respond, walang barangay [tanod] man lang. Nagmalasakit lang isang tricycle drive inihatid sa ospital. Tinanggihan naman dahil private hospital ang pinakamalapit doon... Hindi ko alam na ang policy ngayon eh," he said.

The comedian is hoping that the police will catch the people who shot his grandson and does not want Sean to just be included in crime statistics.

"Gusto kong malutas ito. Hindi ko matiis na mapabilang na lang yung apo ko sa statistics ng unsolved crimes."

Meanwhile, Nepomuceno said Sean was already brought to the recovery room after a long operation on Sunday night.

He said that the doctors extracted 3 bullets that hit his grandson.

Marikina police have tagged a suspect in the shooting of Nepomuceno's grandson.

However, the suspect denied being responsible for the crime.
