MANILA, Philippines -- Two young aspiring singers will be introduced by ABS-CBN as its newest child stars via a primetime series set to premiere this month.

In the upcoming Primetime Bida offering "May Isang Pangarap," 8-year-olds Larah Claire Sabroso of Davao City and Julia Klarisse Base of Manila bring to television their real-life experiences of pursuing their dreams as singers.

Early this year, both girls joined "Kapamilya Little Star," a nationwide talent search held in July to find stars in the mold of child star Xyriel Manabat and singer-actress Sarah Geronimo.

At the time it was announced, the talent search wasn't detailed to be a screening process for the lead stars of "May Isang Pangarap."

In the soap opera, Base portrays a street kid, also named Julia, whose harsh experiences has her yearning for the love of a mother. Julia crosses paths with a former singer, portrayed by Vina Morales, who takes her in as her own child.

Sabroso, meanwhile, grows up not knowing of her mother (Morales), whose dream of re-establishing her singing career estranged her from her family. Raised by her singer father (Rico Blanco), Sabroso also dreams of becoming a performer one day, in the hope of giving a better life to her family.

Also starring Carmina Villaroel, whose character becomes a mother figure to Sabroso, "May Isang Pangarap" is set for a primetime telecast starting January 28.
