MANILA, Philippines – The nominees of the 85th Academy Awards, more known as the Oscars, are set to be announced on Thursday night (Manila time).

Hosted by Seth MacFarlane and Emma Stone, the list of nominees will be unveiled at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives worldwide will be present.

This will be the first time since 1972 that an Oscar show host has participated in the nominations announcement.

The Academy Awards night will be held on February 24 (February 25 in Manila) at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center.

Along with ABC Television Network, the Oscar presentation will be televised live in more than 225 countries worldwide.

In the Philippines, the complete coverage of the 85th Academy Awards will be shown live on February 25, Monday morning starting at 7 a.m. on Velvet Channel and on Studio 23 starting at 10 a.m.
